Tips on Levelling This Profitable Profession   

In order to earn tons of gold in World of Warcraft, you need a gathering profession like mining. To powerlevel WoW is more than just levelling your character---you must also level up your professions. If you know where all the best mining hot spots are, you will be able to level up rather quickly and make gold in the process.  

If you are still levelling your character, you can easily gather metals as you go along and quest. This is the most convenient method, obviously, since you can kill two birds with the same stone. You should be able to find enough mining nodes to powerlevel WoW mining without putting in a lot of effort. If, however, your character is already a high level, you will need to learn about the best farming spots for the profession and plan a route through the area. There are certain zones in the game that have an abundant level of nodes that make faming easier. Keep in mind that the highest level of metals take the longest to respawn. For this reason, you need to know the best route to take for a large amount of gathering. 

One way to do this is to visit powerlevel WoW sites such as ThotBot or WoWhead. Do a search for ‘mining levelling’ or ‘name_of_metal deposit’, i.e. ‘iron vein”. You will be shown a map of all the zones in which the metal is located. Click on the area with the most nodes and look at the map to see exactly where they all span. Use this map to create a circuit that takes you through all of the main areas so that you can gather a bunch of metals in the least amount of time. This is how gold sellers farm, so if they can do it, you can too. After you’ve gathered enough and levelled up your mining cap, return to a trainer to begin the next level. You can also powerlevel WoW mining by smelting metal, just as long as the skill is still orange or yellow. However, this method isn’t the best, since you can only get a few skill ups before the status turns gray.  

Keep in mind that a lot of mining nodes spawn around hills, mountains, zone edges, and inside of caves. You won’t find many metals out in the middle of a zone like you would plants. You need to check out some World of Warcraft database websites for tips, screen caps, and coordinates for mining farm areas. Sometimes you can learn a lot from other players sharing their tips and knowledge.  

If you want to try the smelting method, you need to take full advantage of skill ups. You will need some gold for this method. If you don’t have a lot of gold, then spend time with one of the aforementioned methods and earn some before you try this method. For example, you can purchase ore from the AH and smelt while the recipe status is still orange, yellow, and green. Needless to say, this method will require a lot of gold at higher levels, when you have to smelt rare metals. Nevertheless, if you have the gold to spend, then this method is helpful if you want to powerlevel WoW mining.
