WoW Farming and Limited Supply Items:
How to Make Gold in World of Warcraft

WoW Farming and Limited Supply ItemsIn addition to WoW farming, finding and selling limited supply items is another great way to make gold. This is something that many players underestimate. Many new players don’t realize that certain vendors sell items with an extremely limited supply. These rare items can be sold for a lot more at the auction house than for what the vendor sells them. If you want to make gold in World of Warcraft, you need to learn where these vendors can be found and what items to look for.

Think for a moment: whenever you visit a vendor NPC, do you really pay attention to everything that is being sold? Do you just assume that WoW farming is simply something that involves running around and gathering plants, mining metals, and skins?  When shopping from a vendor, you can actually ‘farm’ certain items and resell them at the auction house. Do you ever notice that some items have small numbers by them? These numbers represent the inventory for that item. Items that usually have a ‘1’ or a ‘2’ next to them are limited supply items. This means you can buy the last one or two and sell them at the auction house at a higher price. It will take awhile for the item to ‘respawn’ in the vendor’s inventory, so other players will have no choice but to buy from you if they are in a hurry!

You should dedicate a special bag for WoW farming items that are in a limited supply. Once you gather some up, go and put them up for sale at the AH. Vendors can be found all around the world, even out in the middle of nowhere, so get yourself a good WoW guide to learn where to find the best limited supply items.

So, how much can you earn? Well, it all depends on the demand for the item, how rare it is, and what the economy is like on your server. Visit the AH and search for the item to see how much other players are selling it for. If nobody else is selling it, it means you have no competition! However, don’t just assume you can set the price up really high. You need to be fair. Look over an online WoW farming site to read about the item and its median price on most servers.

Sometimes people are willing to pay 20x more than a limited supply item’s set vendor price. Why? Because they don’t have the time to go looking for the stuff themselves. They don’t have the time to wait on the vendor to get some more in stock. In other words, they are willing to pay more because it is convenient for them to do so. Nevertheless, you need to be fair. Don’t be too stingy; if you set the price up TOO high, you will find that nobody will be THAT desperate for it. If you know what you are doing, and you know where to look for the rarest items, you will find this method to be a profitable and easy WoW farming strategy!
