WoW Grind Methods
VS Questing: What is the Best
Way to Level
Up?
World of Warcraft is a fun and enjoyable
game for the most part. However, there is one thing that
needs to be done on occasion that bores many players a
great deal: grinding. WoW grind means to run around
in an area close to your level and killing everything in
sight in order to loot mobs and level up. Needless to say,
this is a mundane activity, and most players would rather
just level up through questing.
The computer generated enemies will drop certain
items for the player that kills them. Half the time they
only drop useless junk, but the rest of the time, they will
drop objects that will come in use. Whenever they drop rare
items, a player can sell them at the auction house. You
could also sell them to the nearest NPC vendor if you don’t
feel they are worth setting up at the auction house.
This is why having extra bag space is essential.
If you want to level up and farm with the WoW
grind method, you will end up with tons of loot that
can stack up rather quickly. The more bag slots you have,
the better. Investing in a bunch of 12+ slot bags is the
smartest thing you can do at lower levels, as you will be
able to carry more items and grind and loot for a longer
period of time before you have to take a trip to the auction
house.
When grinding, fight enemies that are close to
your level. Your best bet is to go after ones that range
from 3 levels below you to 1 level above. Avoid elites that
are close to your level, unless you are good at kiting and
have helpful potions. Also, if you’re not good with crowd
control, only level up in an area where you won’t draw more
than one mob in at once. You don’t want to be ambushed while
in the middle of a WoW grind!
The second levelling method is questing, and is
ideal for those who want excitement as they level up. It’s
not without its faults, though---many quests require killing
a bunch of enemies anyway. However, they do provide a lot of
experience points and pay quite well. The great thing about
questing is that you could have a higher level player help
you out and get them completed very quickly.
When questing, make
sure you have healing potions, buffs, food, and water so
that you can heal during, and in between fights. You need
all of this when doing the WoW grind method, as well. Some
quests include hunting down certain items, which can only be
obtained through grinding, and these quests will give you
some of the most XP. You will gain experience by killing all
the mobs AND
for
turning the quest in.
Most people prefer questing over grinding, and
only grind when they have to. Also, with a good guide, you
will know which quests to complete and in what order, so you
will know how to earn the most experience and level up
within the shortest amount of time possible. Knowing
questing shortcuts will help you level up more quickly than
any WoW grind strategy.
