WoW Grind
Strategies - How to Get the Best Out of Grinding in World
of Warcraft
In WoW, grinding is something that
everybody must do on occasion, whether they want to or
not. Most people consider WoW grind strategies to be
boring and mindless. It’s so boring, in fact, that a
player can fall asleep right at the computer! The reason
why it’s so mundane is because it is highly repetitive. To
grind is to run around hitting the same keys over and over
and killing one monster or creature after the next. Each
kill will get the player some experience points and a bit
of loot, but all of the loot needs to be sorted through to
find out what is useful and what is
not.
WoW
grind
methods are done by all players on a regular basis, even
those who hate it so much. Some will say that the never have
to grind and only level up through questing. However, many
quests involve hunting down and killing a lot of enemies in
order to gather certain items and that is obviously
grinding. Even if it’s not done primarily for XP, it’s still
the same thing. Sometimes a player could kill a bunch of
enemies while on the way from one zone to the next. Even if
it’s done just to get them out of the way, it’s still
grinding nevertheless.
Believe it or not, it’s possible to fall asleep
while working on a WoW grind. I have. Plenty of other
players have. If you’re repeating the same thing and hitting
the same few keys over and over again, you will find
yourself nodding off. As long as you’re not in danger of
dying, you will actually pull off gaining XP without being
conscious about it.
To grind quickly and efficiently, you could simply
set up a new skill bar and assign the abilities you are
going to use the most the first few keys. Just spam by
tapping those numbers in order, over and over again. Of
course, this WoW grind strategy will make things even more
boring!
If you are on a PvP server, and want to grind in a
contested area, at least you will always be on alert for
enemy players. This might keep things a bit interesting,
albeit annoying. If you want to grind alone, look for a
remote area where you can be alone with the
monsters.
Playing upbeat music will help you stay awake and
alert. This will help you get to a good, steady pace. You
can set the rhythm of your killing with the pace of the
music! One rule about grinding is to keep it simple. A good
grinding spot is one at which all the monsters and creatures
can be killed without any struggle, after which they will
provide good XP and decent loot.
Another important thing to remember in regards to
WoW grind strategies, is to concentrate on killing yellow
mobs. Some players and classes can manage red level mobs,
although it can be risky; especially if you have a lot of
aggro. You don’t want to risk drawing more than one or two
of them in at a time. Just accept a fair amount of XP and
decent loot per kill and be happy.
